A Bit About Me

Cheryl Minardi, A-LPC/MHSP, practices in affiliation with Balint’s Counseling under the clinical supervision of Robert Fitzpatrick LPC-MHSP (4071).

Cheryl earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through The Personal Transformation Institute. She is a trained spiritual director through The Theodyssey Institute. She has also completed Level 1 and Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy through the Gottman Institute.

Cheryl specializes in working with adult women who desire a deeper understanding of themselves and a more meaningful, fulfilling life. She believes healing and growth happen in the safety of authentic, supportive relationships. Her work helps clients explore the stories and experiences that have shaped them, reconnect with their deeper sense of self, and discover new possibilities for growth and change.

Cheryl is passionate about supporting women navigating anxiety, codependency, attachment concerns, parenting challenges, divorce, relationship transitions, recovery from abuse, grief and loss, life changes, and issues of spirituality and faith. She seeks to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel seen, understood, and empowered to move toward greater wholeness.

Her therapeutic approach is holistic, strength-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, attachment theory, mindfulness, somatic practices, spiritual integration, and EMDR. She draws from these approaches to meet each client’s unique needs, honoring the connection between mind, body, relationships, and spirit.
